Appointments:

Prendiville Ave Medical Centre operate an appointment system.

If more than one person from your family wishes to see the doctor at the same time, please ensure an appointment is made for each family member.

Most consultations are for 15 minutes.If you think your problem is a complex one (multiple problems, pre-employment, insurance or superannuation medicals) please advise the receptionist so that a longer appointment can be booked for you.

We will always try to fit in any urgent cases or emergencies. Please telephone immediately or come straight to the surgery.

Cancellations

Please ensure you contact the surgery to cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend. Missed appointments will be charged a fee of $30.00.

Medical Records:

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.

E-Health Record:

In July 2012 The Federal Govt introduced an online medical record system.

Please speak to your Doctor about registering and uploading your Health Summary. Further information can be found on the My Health Record Website.

Results/Recalls:

Please make a follow up appointment with your Doctor for test results as it is the policy of this practice that results are not given over the telephone without prior arrangement with your Doctor.

We operate a reminder system and also take part in State and National health registers for immunisations, pap smears and chronic diseases.

Please advise our Practice Nurse or Practice Manager if you do not wish to participate.

Please advise our reception staff of any changes to your contact details.

Script Repeats:

If you are due for a Prescription Repeat please phone reception to discuss, or BOOK ONLINE to make an appointment.

Telephone Calls:

You may contact Doctors at this practice by telephone during normal surgery hours. If it is an emergency please advise the receptionist and your call will be put straight through.

For all other calls a message will be taken if the Doctor is with a patient and he/she will return your call as soon as possible.

Emails:

Emails may be sent to this practice but medical records and results will not be transferred via email for security reasons.
